Prof. Christ D. Richmond

Director, SIIL Group

Christ D. Richmond is an Associate Professor in ECEE where he is Director of the Signals, Information, Inference, and Learning Group.  He is a Fellow of the IEEE and an internationally recognized expert in adaptive array processing with application to radar, sonar, and communications.  Prior to joining ASU, he was a Senior Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in the Advanced Sensor Techniques Group where his research involved the development and analysis of adaptive algorithms for detection and parameter estimation, performance bounding for radar/sonar, communications, and passive RF geolocation systems.

Ph.D. Student, SIIL Group, Spring 2019--

Akshay S. Bondre received the B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from VJTI, University of Mumbai in 2018, and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University under the supervision of Dr. Christ Richmond in May 2020. He is currently a PhD student, and his research interests include statistical signal processing, communications, information theory, and machine learning. 

 

Touseef Ali

Touseef Ali is a Fulbright scholar. He received the B.S. degree from NUST, Pakistan in 2013 and M.S. degree from Air University, Pakistan in 2018. He has over 5 years of experience working in R&D organizations. His research interests include signal processing, remote sensing and machine learning.

Ahmed Shaib is PhD student at Arizona State University, advised by Dr. Christ D. Richmond. His research interests are Communications, Information Theory, Statistical Machine Learning and Signal Processing. He received his B.S. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with specialization in Communication Engineering, and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zawia and Michigan State University, respectively.

Sahithi Chenreddy is a Master’s student at Arizona State University, advised by Dr. Christ D. Richmond. Her research interests include applications of machine learning and deep learning to communication systems and control systems. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.

Abinaya Subramaniam

Abinaya Subramaniam

MS Student, SIIL Group, Spring 2021--

Abinaya Subramaniam received her dual degree (B.Tech+M.Tech) in Electronics and Communication engineering with specialization in Signal Processing and Communication Systems design from Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Kancheepuram, India in May 2020. She is currently a masters student at ASU and her research interests include signal processing and application of deep learning and optimization techniques to solve problems in radar communications.

Charles Connors

Charles Connors

PhD Student, SIIL Group, Fall 2021--

Charles graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in Spring 2021. He comes to Arizona State as a Dean’s Fellow under the guidance of Dr. Christ Richmond. Charles’ research interests lie in the fields of statistical signal processing, radar, and machine learning. He has particular interests in image reconstruction and has previously worked for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) on SAR image reconstruction under the guidance of Dr. Theresa Scarnati.
